. .Sophie arrived at 1:10 this afternoon with no
trouble at all and has made her way into the
hearts of everyone she's met today...even the cat!
She has been absolutely PERFECT! She
slept on Shannon's lap during the ride home from
the airport, and we stopped for one "pit
stop." She did just fine. She's
been brushed and cuddled and walked and fed and we
had a great playtime! Now she's fast asleep
in her new crate surrounded by all of her new
toys. . ."

Hi Joy-
I hope that you had a good Independence Day. I thought that you would be happy to hear about all of the positive comments that we had about Gabriel yesterday. We had about 20 people here (all of David’s relatives) for Independence Day—it was a big group here for Gabe to deal with—but he did so beautifully. We took him to our town’s 4th of July parade—and we had so many comments about what a beautiful dog he is and how well behaved he was. Then with our family in the afternoon—everyone commented about how well-behaved he was---and he was charming. No biting, or jumping on anyone. He was very good natured and tolerated everyone petting him and wanting to see him. Our 8 year old cousin kept him pretty busy for a while, but when they got to rowdy—Gabe calmed down quickly and was very good. He was not too crazy about the fireworks from the park about a mile from our house—but we kept him in the house playing with toys and that distracted him enough.
I know that our training with him has made a difference, but I also know that with dogs breeding has a lot to do with it—and for that I give you all of the credit for breeding such great dogs. He is a delight—and we love him—and apparently so does the rest of our family.
Hope that you had a great 4th of July. We will be in touch.

Hi Joy,
We love our little puppie! Jean probably told you I choose the little male. He was spunky and and played it smart....he kept coming to me and licking my chin! After giving it much thought we decided to start with just one pooch. I told Jean you may be hearing from me again in the near future.
He did very well on the long drive home and sat on my lap a good part of the time. Took a few "cat naps" in the crate and was raring and ready to go when we brought him into out home. He did his little jobs on the puppy pads last night before he went to sleep. We are doing the crate training routine and all is going well. He doesn't object too much when we put him in his crate after play time. (I guess he already knows it's nap time and he'll be coming out again later!) Bill and I live on a golf course and love to golf so we named him "Bogey". (My Mom is going to puppy-sit when we are out on the course until he gets older and she's excited about that!) I will send a pic later and let you know how he is doing.
Thanks Joy! Talk to you soon!

Colby has the best personality of any dog I've ever seen. People always tell me they wish I hadn't neutered him because they would die for a puppy like Colby. He is extremly curious and loves people and other dogs. His favorite things to do are to visit his grandmother's kindergarten class, have his mommy
read Harry the Dirty Dog books before he goes to bed, and protect his mommy when his dad tries to tickle her. He is so loving and people come up to us
wherever we go to express their love for Colby.
